Three decades of representative sport and more cramps than she’d care to count. Paula has competed at national league level and is a state‑graded touch football referee, giving her first‑hand experience of the physical and mental toll of cramping.

A registered architect with a previous business built around pickling, Paula’s interest in Australian bush foods began while eloping at Uluru, fascinated by plants that survive in extreme heat with almost nothing.

Today, she runs Pickled GOAT solo from Newcastle, NSW.
