Pickled GOAT

For you

FAQ

Is any of this actually real science?

Yes. Hydration, electrolytes and mineral supplements are necessary, but they take too long to digest in the moment the cramp hits.

The published work points at the nervous system rather than the muscle. In a laboratory study, a small vinegar shot shortened an electrically induced cramp to about 85 seconds, against 134 seconds for water, and the effect was attributed to a reflex set off by TRP receptors in the mouth and throat rather than to anything absorbed and delivered to the muscle. Later trials have found smaller or non‑significant effects, so we tell you that as well.

Pickled GOAT is a food under the FSANZ code, so we are not permitted to tell you what it will do in your body, and we do not.

The last one I tried made me sick. Why would yours be different?

Every single athlete in our discovery who had tried the incumbent raised taste before we asked. “They literally make you want to vomit.” “I felt quite sick for like a couple of hours after I had it.”

Cramps usually strike late in a race or game. By then, the need for sweet tastes is often overtaken by a desire to naturally cleanse the palate, refresh the mouth and offer additional benefits.

Our botanical range leverages the natural advantages of bush botanicals, including mineral support and anti‑inflammatory assistance.

Our natural flavour range answers what our athletes told us they most want to taste.

I am not trying anything new on race day.

Neither would we, which is why we encourage a try in training approach and offer free samples, so by race morning your gut has already met it.

By the time it gets me it is nearly over. Why would I carry anything for forty k?

If your cramp only arrives in the last 200 metres, what you need is to know what is driving it, months earlier. Pickled GOAT is a small portable sachet, easy to carry for long events.

How is this different from CrampFix?

Format. Ours is a small thin sachet that opens easily. Athletes told us the incumbent is “so hard to open, you spit out a little bit and it goes everywhere”, and that on a bike they would not attempt it.

Positioning. We do one job and say so. No hydration, no electrolyte story layered on top.

Flavour. Athletes told us the status quo made them gag. A pickle juice based solution needn’t be so strong to work.

Regulation. CrampFix is Informed Sport tested. We are not yet, but aim to be once our final flavour profiles are tested and locked in.
